The coating used for Gen is a water-based acrylic resin paint.
Unlike penetrating oil stains, this paint forms a protective film on the surface of the wood, which helps maintain its color for a relatively long period of time.
However, areas such as knots or locations where the coating has worn away due to friction may expose the wood to ultraviolet light and rain, causing it to gradually discolor and turn lighter.
If this becomes a concern, we recommend touching up these areas using the designated paint.
Although the black color will gradually fade over a long period, depending on conditions, we recommend recoating after approximately 5 to 10 years.
Note : Photos are examples only. Weathering may vary depending on conditions.
